This has been the week of preparing for chemotherapy. Erik had an appointment with the pain clinic on Monday, more x-rays, and also had surgery to install a port in his chest, which will allow the medical team to administer the chemo in the easiest way. They've started testing on the tumor that was removed, and he had a bunch of tests yesterday - blood, EKGs, Echocardiograms - and another CT scan, so he feels thoroughly vetted. The test results should all be in today, so they'll decide soon on the final course of treatment and the actual start date.

Erik has been in a bit more pain the last few days, but his spirits are still good. We're gearing up and getting ready for the next phase.

Thank you so much for your continued support - Erik loves to hear from you, and it's such a comfort to me to know you're all there!
